Who Is Kevin Rice
Kevin Rice was born in 1969 and raised in the small eastern KY. town of Manchester, KY., important for its salt works during the Civil War and later well known for its high quality coal. Kevin was raised to appreciate his Christian heritage and the hard working people who make up this region. He gave his heart to the Lord at an early age and wanted others to know what had happened to him. Kevin discovered early on that he had been blessed with special music abilities. He began to tap out rhythms on the kitchen sink and started singing in church which eventually lead him to a drummer position with a Christian band. Not being satisfied and searching for his true calling, Kevin began to hammer out his own heart felt songs. This drive and love for God led him to a self taught style of music that can only come from deep inside ones on soul. As word spread of Kevin's incredible ability and his inspirational songs churches began to call and a ministry of love was begun. Kevin signed with Psalm Records in Nashville and played around the country for churches and groups; but his passion lies in seeing his neighbors lives changed. This led Kevin to start his own record label "Forecast Records" and his own studio which he affectionately calls "The Crow's Nest". Kevin formed a Christian group of sold-out musicians which he calls "Forecast" and they travel together spreading the gospel of Christ through songs, words, and testimonies. Kevin's music is like salt; it seasons all of our lives. He has watched as hundreds of people respond to a calling for their lives to change. Offering a better way, he tackles the tough issues of drugs, alcohol, teen pregnancy, apathy, and poverty like no other musician. Kevin's ministry is touching and changing thousands of lives. When Kevin shares what God has done in his life and what He can do for others; they respond. Kevin's testimony and music is genuine and heart felt; it seems to be the right thing at the right time . Kevin works for a local hospital as a Occupational Therapist but, is full time in the business of sharing Christ with others. Kevin Rice is a man with conviction; he truly has "Music for the Souls of Men"! Kevin has been writing and performing contemporary Christian music for well over a decade and will keep writing, singing, and sharing his special style of music with all who will listen.
